Mr. Elias Harrington, Principal

As principal of Wilderness Oak Elementary School, I am honored to serve a community that is dedicated to fostering a love of learning, strong character, and meaningful relationships. At Wilderness Oak, we believe every child deserves a nurturing environment where they can thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. We value the partnership between home and school and recognize that open communication and trust are essential to student success.

As the instructional leader of our campus, I am committed to ensuring that our faculty and staff have the tools, support, and resources needed to help every student reach their full potential. Together, we maintain high expectations for all learners while meeting the unique needs of each child. I believe education should ignite students' passions, develop responsible citizens, and prepare them for the opportunities and challenges of the future.

I earned my bachelor's degree from Texas State University and my master's degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio. My career in education began as an elementary teacher at Windcrest Elementary School, where I spent ten years serving students and families. I later had the privilege of serving as assistant principal at Northwood Elementary School before becoming principal of Wilderness Oak Elementary.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching sports, and camping. Basketball and soccer are among my favorite sports, and I am a longtime fan of the San Antonio Spurs and Liverpool Football Club.

I am grateful to be part of the Wilderness Oak family and look forward to working alongside our students, staff, and families as we continue to create a school community where every child can learn, grow, and succeed.

Mrs. Pearl Camacho, Assistant Principal

I am incredibly honored and excited to join the amazing community at Wilderness Oak Elementary as your Assistant Principal! With more than 15 years of experience in North East ISD, I have had the privilege of serving students and families in a variety of roles that have strengthened my passion for education and commitment to student success.

I earned my Bachelor of Science from The University of Texas at San Antonio and my Master of Educational Leadership from Trinity University. Throughout my career, I have served as a classroom teacher, KIN Director, Targeted Support Teacher, and Administrative Intern before stepping into campus leadership.

I believe strong relationships are the heart of a successful school. My goal is to ensure every student feels seen, valued, and supported while working alongside our incredible staff and families to help every child reach their full potential. Together, we will continue to build a culture where students are challenged, encouraged, and inspired to grow as learners and leaders.

Outside of school, I enjoy reading, working out, and spending time with my Frenchie, Pebbles. One of my favorite things to do is drive back home to the Rio Grande Valley to spend time with my family.

I am beyond excited to begin this next chapter at Wilderness Oak and look forward to partnering with our students, families, and staff to make this an incredible year!
